Top performers in the Tar Heels' 73-55 win over Boston College

Despite being down three starters, UNC took care of business against Boston College and snapped a two-game losing streak on Sunday.
The Tar Heels dominated the Eagles, 73-55, with the help of stellar three-point shooting and an overall offensive clinic from the starting lineup.
The absence of junior forward Alyssa Ustby and redshirt senior guard Eva Hodgson has taken a toll on both sides of the floor which was evident in the Tar Heels' consecutive losses to Louisville and Syracuse. They've struggled to replace the spacing both players provide with Hodgson drawing defenders to the perimeter and Ustby creating open looks by drawing defenders into the lane.
Junior forward Anya Poole injured her shoulder in the third quarter against Syracuse, taking away another key inside presence for UNC ahead of its noon battle against Boston College. However, some individuals stepped up to keep the Tar Heels afloat amidst this injury-laden stretch, moving UNC to 18-7 overall and 9-5 in the ACC.
Here are Sunday's top performers:
Kayla McPherson
Redshirt freshman Kayla McPherson had a career day, making her first ever start and recording career highs in multiple facets of the game.
She recorded her career-best 22 points, knocking down a personal record of four three-pointers while also grabbing six rebounds (also a career-high). McPherson outscored Boston College by herself in the first quarter, pouring in 10 points to give UNC an early lead.
In her first five games back for the Tar Heels, she has averaged 11.6 points per game.
Kennedy Todd-Williams
Junior guard Kennedy Todd-Williams consistently made plays all afternoon for the Tar Heels on both ends of the floor. She finished the game with 16 points on 6-15 shooting.
Like usual, she found success driving down the lane and finding offense inside the arc while almost notching a double-double with nine total rebounds. She also came away with two steals, making Sunday's win her 11th time this season swiping at least two takeaways.
