USC Football: MarShawn Lloyd Heads to Florida in Latest Mock Draft

The USC Trojans 2023 season didn't go the way another would have hoped, but they still produced some quality players. The Trojans are always well represented at the NFL Draft each year and it will be no different this time around.

While former quarterback Caleb Williams is the star of the show, USC does have plenty of other talented players entering the league as well. One of those players is running back MarShawn Lloyd, who transferred to USC this past season from South Carolina.

Lloyd gave the Trojans a quality down field runner, who helped open up their offensive attack. He should be taken in the middle parts of the upcoming NFL Draft, giving whichever team that selects him a nice depth piece to add to their backfield.

In his latest NFL Mock Draft, NFL.com draft analyst Chad Reuter has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking Lloyd in the third round at pick No. 92. He would help bolster the depth for the Buccaneers, making them a quality landing spot for him.

Last season for the Trojans, Lloyd rushed for 820 yards and nine touchdowns on 116 carries. He also helped in the passing game, catching 13 passes for 232 yards through the air.

Lloyd came to USC for a larger role and showed that he could be a main running back. Perspective NFL teams saw the potential of Lloyd this past season, giving them a glimpse of what he could be at the next level.
