USC Football: How Trojans Made An Impact Off The Field In Saturday's Win
Not only was USC making an impact on the field during the team's rout of Stanford on Saturday, they were also helping the planet off the field.
At the Los Angeles Coliseum, Saturday was USC's annual Zero Waste Game.
In order to match the theme of the game, the stadium was during drinks into 100% bio-based and compostable cups.
The cups, which contain the USC logo on it, are the same size as a normal beer cup at the stadium. This time the cup doesn't damage the earth when it is thrown away.
A California based company called Better for All provided the cups for the game. Better for All is a cup brand that advertises itself as a tonic-certified biobased, non-toxic, compostable, refillable product.
USC hosts it Zero Waste Game every year. Last year's game helped the Trojans secure its third ever Pac-12 Zero Waste Challenge.
The university takes pride in its effort to improve the Earth and the Zero Waste Game is just another step to the schools efforts for a cleaner planet.
