USC Football: 4-Star Trojans Recruit Eyes Visit for Marquee Pac-12 Matchup
We might not know where Bonita High School junior linebacker Noah Mikhail will commit to play in two years, but we do know he is going to see some electric college football games this season.
Having already visited Texas for their 40-14 win over Kansas, Mikhail is planning to watch USC take on UCLA later this season as well as either Alabama v. LSU or USC v. Washington, both of which most college football fans would love to see in person.
But Mikhail won't be going as a fan. The 4-star (according to 247Sports) linebacker has offers from some of the best college football programs in the country, including Alabama, USC, Washington, UCLA, Oregon, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas, and many others.
While USC will face stiff competition for Mikhail's commitment, the La Verne, CA native said he was impressed by his last visit to the Coliseum.
"When I went to see Notre Dame and USC play last year, their crowd ... the energy is there. Their fans are back at it," Mikhail said.
With no pressure to commit as a junior, Mikhail seems to be enjoying the various games he's been able to watch.
“There are some teams that are surprising this year and it’s cool to see all of those games play out. Washington is doing really well, Oregon is good and USC is playing well — they’re always up there. Florida State is playing well, and even though they lost to Ohio State, I think Notre Dame is having a real good year," Mikhail said.
Mikhail had high praise for USC inside linebacker and associate head coach for defense Brian Odom, who has a background in sports performance.
“Development wise, I think Coach (Brian) Odom is one of the best to do it. They’re only in year two, and they’re getting more weapons. The level of improvement I’ve seen from them defensively — it’s been cool to see," Mikhail said.
USC will be one of many eagerly awaiting Mikhail's unofficial visits this season.
