Utah set to host 2025 DB Marcus Wimberly for official visit

The Utah Utes were late to the party for three-star safety Marcus Wimberly, but they are still viewed as one of his top schools.

Utah offered him on March 15, and while he already had accumulated a list of finalists, they were included amongst his top schools. The Arkansas native took to social media recently to reveal that he will be heading to Salt Lake City for an official visit.

Aside from Utah, he has official visits scheduled to see Wisconsin, Memphis, Arkansas, and Oklahoma is also expected to be a major player in his recruitment as they are viewed as the favorites by four of 247Sports' recruiting analysts.

This past season he played both ways for Bauxite High School, but certainly had more of an impact on offense. He saw snaps at quarterback and running back on offense, while also playing in the secondary. He was credited with 244 passing yards and a score, 533 rushing yards with 15 touchdowns, and also added 28 catches for two scores. On defense, he is credited with 12 tackles.
