
Virginia Lacrosse Ranked No. 2 in Latest USILA/Inside Lacrosse Polls
Winners of five-straight games, Virginia men’s lacrosse has matched its-season high ranking in both the USILA Coaches Poll and Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, coming in at No. 2 in both rankings. UVA kept the momentum going from the big road win at Maryland with a 16-10 victory over Albany on Tuesday and a 14-4 win over Drexel on Saturday to improve to 8-1 on the season.
Just 13 total points separated Virginia from Notre Dame for first place in this week’s USILA Coaches Poll, with the Finishing Irish getting 432 points and 16 first-place votes, while the Cavaliers received 419 points and four first-place votes. Fellow ACC programs Syracuse and Duke received one first-place vote apiece.

An even slimmer margin separated Notre Dame and Virginia in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll. The Fighting Irish are No. 1 with 489 points and 17 first-place votes, while the Cavaliers are second with 481 points and eight first-place votes. Syracuse, Penn State, and Duke again round out the top five.
