National Signing Day: 2024 college football recruits to watch, predictions

Most of the top flight college football recruits made their intentions known early, but the 2024 National Signing Day leaves a few questions unanswered

College football's annual National Signing Day puts a bow on the 2024 recruiting cycle, albeit one that saw most of its high-profile prospects make their commitments during the Early Signing Period at the end of last year. But that doesn't mean there aren't some notable players yet to make things completely official until now.

Some players initially made commitments to a school earlier on in the process, but then after the usual coaching movements and some transfer portal action, those prospects de-committed and brought some intriguing names into the market.

Terry Bussey

The five-star wide receiver/athlete is rated as the No. 11 overall prospect nationally, and although he committed to Texas A&M, he's yet to sign with the Aggies. LSU and Georgia are also in play.

Our prediction: Texas A&M

Dominick McKinley

The consensus five-star defensive lineman and No. 13 overall recruit committed to LSU on Dec. 31 but several analysts are projecting a possible flip to Texas A&M.

Our prediction: LSU

Ashton Bethel-Roman

The No. 39 ranked, four-star wide receiver initially pledged to Arkansas, but after WR coach Kenny Guiton left the program, the prospect asked for a release from his NLI. Texas A&M and Houston are involved for the wide receiver, but signs point to him staying in the SEC.

Our prediction: Texas A&M

Rahshawn Clark

A consensus three-star ranked as the No. 17 athlete nationally, Clark initially pledged to Cal but flipped to Arizona. But then Jedd Fisch bolted for Washington, along with cornerbacks coach John Richardson, who happens to have been Clark's main recruiting contact.

Our prediction: Washington

James Randle

The nation's No. 134 wide receiver prospect has played most of his high school career on offense, picking up a 1,000-yard season but he also logged snaps at cornerback. He has several offers from Power Five and Group of Five schools.

Our prediction: Florida

C.J. Heard

Rivals and ESPN call Heard a top-50 safety across the board. Originally a Florida State commit, Heard has received interest from multiple schools, with many predictions leaning towards FAU, where he recently took a visit, but the Seminoles could make a comeback, as defensive coordinator Adam Fuller has led Heard's recruitment.

Will Henderson

A track star and varsity tailback, ranked as the consensus No. 14 athlete out of Gilmer, Tex., Henderson ran for almost 3,900 yards and scored 51 touchdowns. He has offers from Arkansas and Oklahoma State, but Louisiana Tech is also in the picture. It's anyone's guess.

Keona Wilhite

The No. 55 ranked edge rusher initially committed to Washington, but opened it back up after Kalen DeBoer's departure. Three B1G schools are in play for Wilhite, a lineman with a knack for creating negative plays, including Nebraska, UCLA, and Michigan State.

Our prediction: Nebraska

Naki Tuakoi

Ranked as the No. 54 edge rusher nationally, the 6-4, 222-pounder out of Oakland committed to Stanford before changing his mind as a senior in high school. Arizona seemed to be in play, but that's up in the air after the coaching change.
