NBA Predictions & Best Bets for Today’s Slate of Games, 11/20
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Washington Wizards Spread Pick
The Bucks are off to a slow 3-3 start away from home this campaign, but their current four-game win streak shows that things are starting to click. They own comfortable victories in each of their last two road games and now will face a bottom-of-the-barrel Wizards squad. Plus, Milwaukee has defeated Washington in eight of their last 10 meetings, and are now coming off a game in which they shot 52% from the field and nearly 38% from three as a team.
As for the Wizards, they endured yet another loss by double digits to the Knicks over the weekend, bringing their current losing streak to five in a row. They haven’t necessarily even been competitive their last two times out, either. Now, there are already rumors of shopping Jordan Poole this season as it appears Wahsington is in for yet another disappointing season. They own a 1-5 record ATS in their last six games at home and are 1-9 in their last 10 games against Eastern Conference opponents.
With everything we’ve seen so far this season, especially recently, there's no reason to assume the Bucks can’t run away with this one. They have the edge from a talent perspective and are beginning to roll from beyond the three-point line (15+ made threes in each of the last four games). We’ll begin our NBA prediction today taking the Bucks -9.5 (-112 at DraftKings).
Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors Spread Pick
The Rockets lost by just a single point to the Los Angeles Lakers last night and will now stay in California for their bout with the Warriors today. While Houston’s performance against LA was inspiring, they only amassed 104 points as a team which surely won’t be enough against Golden State. They haven’t beaten the Warriors in any of their past 11 tries.
On the other side, Steph Curry and GS know how badly they need a win. In the midst of a six-game losing streak, they’ll at least have the rest advantage in this one having yesterday off. The squad will need better play out of Klay Thompson, but Andrew Wiggins appears to be peaking at the right time. Any help for Curry would be much appreciated, as he’s boasted 30+ points in four of his last five games against the Rockets.
Houston is on the second night of a back-to-back, which alone is enough to fade them against a veteran Warriors team. Add in the fact this spread isn’t too large and Curry owns the Rockets recently, and we’ll gladly take the Warriors -7.5 (-110 at DraftKings) in the second of our NBA predictions today.
Expert NBA Player Prop Picks for Today, 11/20 Featuring Keldon Johnson & Mitchell Robinson
Keldon Johnson Player Prop Picks: Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds
Regarding our NBA player props today, our first selection focuses on Keldon Jonhnson of the Spurs. Johnson is averaging 16.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this season and has scored 20+ in each of his last three games played. His set points + rebounds prop appears a bit low, resting at just 22.5.
This is right at his average, but it’s clear Johnson is a big part of San Antonio’s offensive game plan with 10+ field goal attempts in eight of his last nine games. We like him to go over 22.5 points + rebounds (-120 at DraftKings) for the sixth time in his last 10 games.
Mitchell Robinson Player Prop Picks: Over 8.5 Rebounds
Elsewhere, Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson continues to produce on the glass. He’s averaging 11.6 rebounds per game in this campaign and consistently is New York’s top rebounder game in and game out. That’s why we’re a bit surprised to see his rebound prop set at only 8.5, as he’s compiled at least nine in seven of his last 10 outings.
He’s also averaging a career high in minutes at 29.8, signaling that he’ll have ample opportunity to produce. We’ll back Robinson over 8.5 rebounds (-140 at DraftKings) as the second of our NBA player props today.
