F1 News: Pierre Gasly Teases Tribute Helmet To Feature Before End Of 2023

Pierre Gasly has teased a new tribute helmet coming before the end of the 2023 season.

Alpine F1 driver Pierre Gasly has hinted that he will be bringing another tribute helmet to a race before the end of the season, although he does not specify which race fans can expect to see it.

The French driver carries a tribute to his friend Anthoine Hubert on all of his racing helmets after his tragic passing during the Belgian round of the 2019 Formula 2 season at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

On top of this, Gasly has previously raced with a Senna-inspired helmet for the 2020 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. When asked in an exclusive interview with F1Briefings, set up by Binance, who he would choose for a tribute helmet next, he responded:

"I can’t spoil too much because there is something in the pipeline. So yeah, just keep an eye out until the end of the year.

"But then for the future I think I will see, but Alain Prost as a French driver he has a special connection to the heritage. A four-time world champion, he is an icon for all of us French drivers and inspired all of us.

"His battle with Ayrton Senna was also a huge inspiration for me. It was probably some of the most beautiful years of our sport and that’s something I definitely have in mind."

With just eight more rounds to go in the 2023 championship and nothing confirmed for the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix this weekend and Gasly racing with a fan-created helmet for Abu Dhabi, it leaves just six other races where he could be sporting the tribute helmet.
