This One-Time Major Champion is 80-1 Odds to Win the WGC-St. Jude Invitational. Should You Make the Bet?

This week 48 of the top 50 players in the world are set to compete in Memphis. That means many great players also happen to be sleepers. Here are the hosts' best bets and long shots for the WGC-St. Jude.

After a one-week break for the Olympics, the PGA Tour returns to Memphis and the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. It's a strong field with 48 of the world's top-50 players slated to compete. (Only Jon Rahm and Christiaan Bezuidenhout are out.) Rotowire's Jeff Erickson and Scott Jenstad join Morning Read's Jeff Ritter to handicap the field.

At the top, both Ritter and Jenstad like Brooks Koepka. Ritter is fading players who competed in last week's Olympics, while Jenstad still thinks Rory McIlroy is a good bet in daily fantasy, and as a straight ticket at 22-1 odds.

In the next tier, Jenstad loves Viktor Hovland, while Ritter leans Daniel Berger and Erickson feels Scottie Scheffler is due to finally break through.

In a field this loaded, big names are suddenly priced like sleepers. Jenstad and Ritter are aligned that Sergio Garcia, at 80-1 odds, is an intriguing bet and could be a blast if he's in contention on Sunday.

In the end, there can only be one. Here are the hosts' picks for one-and-done pools:

Scott Jenstad: Sergio Garcia
Jeff Ritter: Daniel Berger
Jeff Erickson: Scottie Scheffler
