Second baseman Howie Kendrick will stay with the Los Angeles Dodgers on a new two-year contract, reports Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.

Kendrick’s deal is worth $20 million, reports Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

Reports this week indicated Kendrick could be close to a return with the team. The 32-year-old hit .285 with nine home runs and 54 RBIs last season, his first with the team after nine years with the Los Angeles Angels.

Kendrick is a career .293 hitter and was an All-Star in 2011. He helped lead the Dodgers to the NLDS, where they fell to the New York Mets in five games.
