Shohei Ohtani has fans all around the world who idolize him. Not many people would expect that Drake is one of those people.

On the way to one of his concerts, a video surfaced of Drake showing his support for Ohtani by wearing his jersey.

The Canadian rapper is known for being a big sports fan and occasionally talks about football or basketball in his songs. He is a regular at Toronto Raptors games and could be seen hanging out with Odell Beckham Jr. on social media.

Drake has not mentioned his love for baseball, however. While he has been seen throwing out first pitches in Cleveland and hanging out with the Astros in 2014, he does not mention the sport in his songs.

With Ohtani becoming a free agent, would it be possible that Drake could be wearing his jersey to convince him to go to a certain team?

While it may be unlikely, Drake could be trying to influence Ohtani to come to his hometown Blue Jays.

It has happened before. When Kawhi Leonard entered free agency in 2019, Drake was one of the biggest supporters of the superstar staying in Toronto. While it did not work, the rapper was very vocal about his support.

There is always the possibility that this wardrobe decision could mean nothing. Since his "It All Was a Blur" tour started in early July, Drake has been making headlines with his outfit choices.

A couple of weeks ago, he was seen heading to his concert in a dog mask. He also had a stretch of wearing mono-color outfits.

With all that being said it is nice to see someone of Drake's status supporting baseball and its best player.

It's not very often that someone in the hip-hop community shows their fandom of America's pastime.
