Angels News: Logan O’Hoppe Feeling Like His Pre-Injury Self Again

The young backstop is ready to lead this band of youngsters!

Logan O'Hoppe is back!

Although the Halos season is not where anyone expected it to be when O'Hoppe returned from the 60-day injured list, the young backstop is still here to win games and become the leader he knows he can be.

After a slow start to his season again only hitting .111 in the month of August in 9 games, O'Hoppe has turned a corner and looks like himself at the start of the year.

"I'm feeling better," O'Hoppe said. "It's clicking, and I feel back to where I was before. I've just been shortening things up and staying connected in the right places. And just make sure my head is clear.”

Back to where he was before is correct, so far in September O'Hoppe has been on fire hitting .262 with a .962 OPS to go along with 5 home runs. The young backstop is catching well and swinging an even better bat than when he started the year.

O'Hoppe has huge power in his bat and it is finally back after a slow return from the IL.

The Angels management expects big things out of O'Hoppe in games with his electric bat, but also in the leadership role that the Halos want to see him take up to end this season.

O'Hoppe is ready and healthy and is looking to play an entire season next year as the starting catcher for the Halos.
