Angels Notes: Nightmare Texas Trip Continues, Trout Timetable, Phil Nevin Losing Patience and More
It was another Texas night and another loss for the Los Angeles Angels as they fell to the Texas Rangers 7-3 on Sunday. It was the fourth defeat in five games in the Lone Star State for the Halos as they continue their ill-timed freefall. Tuesday's setback dropped the Angels to 3-11 since the trade deadline, and they now sit out games out of a wild card spot.
Aside from Tuesday's game, there is some other news though. Center fielder Mike Trout still has no timetable for a potential return from a broken hamate bone, while manager Phil Nevin let loose in the dugout during Monday's 12-0 loss. On the positive side, there's a good update on Angels rookie shortstop Zach Neto, who's trying to make his way back from persistent back soreness.
