Photos of Mike Soroka's return with the Atlanta Braves

Mike Soroka made his return in an Atlanta Braves win vs the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday.

Mike Soroka got the start after rehabbing a hamstring injury that has limited him this spring.

After 1.1 innings, he allowed three hits, two runs, a walk, and an ERA of 6.75. Ty Tice would go on and get the win for the Braves, his first win from his four appearances this spring for Atlanta.

The Braves won 5-3.

Here was our write up entering the game:

Starting for the Braves today is Michael Soroka. "Maple Maddux", as he is known, returns to Grapefruit League action for the first time after straining his hamstring one day before reporting for spring training. The Canadian righty is attempting to return from three surgeries, needed to repair a twice-torn Achilles first suffered during the shortened 2020 season. He was believed to be a candidate for the 5th starter's job; while the hamstring strain prevented him from being a serious contender, he'll be working in AAA Gwinnett and hopefully gets the chance to take a big-league mound for the first time in three years during 2023.
Soroka will get a good test - Detroit is throwing out a mostly big-league lineup, with veteran Miguel Cabrera batting 5th and seven of nine projected MLB lineup regulars for the home matchup.
