WATCH: Braves tie it up on a d'Arnaud d'ouble

It's the second d'ouble of the night for the Atlanta catcher

It's a d'Arnaud night for the Braves tonight, and the "backup" catcher is making the most of it in Pittsburgh. He doubled in the first inning, but he and Austin Riley were each left stranded. He'd come up again with men on in the third, and another two-bagger plated some runs.

d'Arnaud got an 0-1 sweeper up in the zone from Pittsburgh righty Mitch Keller, and he laced it into the deepest part of PNC Park. Ozzie Albies and Matt Olson had plenty of time to score. The Bucs had put three up in the first on a Ke'Bryan Hayes homer, but this double evened the score.

Having two catchers that can both offensively handle the #5 spot in the batting order is a luxury for the Braves. Travis typically starts every third game, but has rotated in a bit more in the last few weeks as we get into the thick of the summer heat and Sean Murphy, who came to Atlanta this season from the Oakland A's, is getting a little extra rest.

The game broadcast is available inside Braves Country on Bally Sports South and is available on MLB.TV outside of the broadcast area. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
