Dodgers News: Daniel Hudson Injured Again, LA 'Hopeful' He Returns This Year
The Dodgers bad injury luck continues as RHP Daniel Hudson is heading back to the injured list with a sprained MCL he suffered in Wednesday night's ninth inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Hudson got his first save in over a year, but apparently suffered yet another knee injury in the process, according to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts ahead of Thursday's game.
He's going to be out for "quite some time," which is just another tough blow to the Dodgers already ailing bullpen.
Hudson has been lights out since returning for the Dodgers, pitching three scoreless innings and allowing just three hits while striking out five.
But unfortunately, the veteran is heading right back to the injured list, where he just spent over a year as he rehabbed a torn ACL and tendinitis in his rehab process.
Roberts said that the team is "hopeful" that Hudson can return this year, which is not the most promising news for a 35-year-old heading to the injured list in July.
We'll hope for the best for Hudson, but this is such a tough blow for him and the Dodgers as he was just coming back into form as one of the team's most reliable relievers.
