Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Provides Injury Updates on Max Muncy, Chris Taylor

Injuries are like an awkward response in a serious conversation, and for the Dodgers, these injuries are no joke and have arrived at the most inopportune time.
This time around, there is good news on the injuries of Dodgers infielder, Max Muncy, and outfielder, Chris Taylor, just in time for their big series against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Reports out of Angel Stadium on Tuesday said that the cortisone shot Taylor received in his knee over the weekend worked well enough to make him available to pinch-hit for Dave Roberts, and that's exactly what he did in the ninth inning of the Dodgers 2-0 win over the Angels.
Taylor has been experiencing some knee pain since exiting last Friday's game against the Giants. The result of the exit has been announced as some 'wear and tear' in his knee joint, with no specific timetable for his full-time return.
On the Muncy side of things, he has been cleared to return to play, beginning with this weekend's series against the Houston Astros.
"Max doesn't feel anything in the hamstring," Roberts said on Tuesday. "So the plan is, no rehab needed and he'll start for us on Friday."
Max Muncy was placed on the 10-day IL last week with a strained hamstring that he aggravated in Philadelphia two weekends ago.
A little breather for Muncy can lead to a potential turnaround for the entire team, but with a .191 batting average thus far into the season, it seems like Muncy needs a turnaround for himself as well.
No matter the outcome of this week's results, one thing is certain: The Dodgers are a better team when these two guys are healthy.
