Dodgers News: Freddie Freeman Accomplishes Feat That Has Never Been Done in Franchise History

With three Dodgers set to play for the National League All-Star team, there's no doubt the Dodgers have a star-studded squad this year.
But for Freddie Freeman, his year has gone from great to historic as he has become the first Dodgers player to accumulate 100 Hits, 50 RBIs and 10 stolen bases before the month of July.
The beloved Dodger completed this feat after hitting a two-run single for his 49th and 50th RBI in Thursday night's 14-3 win over the Colorado Rockies.
The All-Star starters were released on Thursday evening, and despite their selections, J.D. Martinez, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman kept on raking like its their due diligence.
The trio was a key factor in Thursday evening's rout against the Rockies, as they all combined for eight hits and eight RBIs.
Freeman was up against his Atlanta Braves replacement, Matt Olson, in the vote for starting first baseman for the NL squad, securing his fourth start in the Midsummer classic.
“I just want to say thank you to all the Dodger fans who voted for us and baseball fans who are fans of us. Thank you very much.”

Freeman's All-Star also makes the first time the Dodgers have had three non-pitching starters in the All-Star game since 1980, and it just so happens to be that Dodgers outfielder, Mookie Betts, will be participating in the Home Run Derby.
