Dodgers News: Freddie Freeman Reveals One Last Thing He Wants to Accomplish in MLB Career

Being a three-time All-Star, six-time Silver Slugger, a National League MVP and a World Series Champion is not enough for Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman.
With a career resume that impressive, it's hard to find something that Freeman hasn't achieved.
For Freeman, however, he has yet to earn a league batting title and has his eyes set on achieving that.
"I think winning a batting title just because I’ve always wanted to be the best, complete baseball player," Freeman said to Dodgers broadcaster Eric Karros when asked what else he wants to accomplish in his career. "I’m gonna hit the homers, I’ll drive the runs in, but to do all that in one season and winning the batting title, I think that would be the coolest thing."
Freeman has come very close to being the batting champion before. He has finished in the top three for batting average four times in his career.
The first baseman's best opportunity to win the title was last season when he came into game 162 with an opportunity to win it. Unfortunately for Freeman, he came up just short, losing to Mets Jeff McNeil, who sat out the last game of the season.
"I love batting average. I’ve always wanted to win a batting title," Freeman said. "I lost it by a point last year. I’ve come in second in ’20, I came in third in 2013."
This year, Freeman is currently in third with a .318 batting average. Unfortunately for Freeman, Luis Arraez is having a historic season where he has been hovering around .400 all year.
As long as Freeman is playing at the top of his game, though, he will always be in the running for the batting title.
This year isn't looking great, but maybe next year will be his year.
