Dodgers News: LA Slides Down New Power Rankings This Week

The Dodgers keep on falling down power rankings as they have had a rough start to the month of June.
Following a week where they went 2-4 against the White Sox and Giants, the Dodgers have slipped to 10th on CBS Sports' weekly power rankings.
The team fell three spots after being ranked seventh last week.
Even though CBS Sports is down on the Dodgers right now, they are still expecting the team to be competitive throughout the rest of the season.
"They were just swept by the Giants, at home, and are 5-10 in June. This is still probably a playoff team, but it's going to take a lot more work than most seasons this past decade. They are clearly less talented than we're accustomed to seeing." (CBS Sports)
After being swept by the Giants over the weekend, San Fransisco jumped the Dodgers in both the standings and the power rankings.
The Giants moved up 10 spots to No. 9 as they are winners of 22 of their last 31 games.
The Dodgers are also looking up to another NL West team, the Diamondbacks. Arizona is sitting at No. 5 despite being losers of four of its last five games.
Currently the Diamondbacks have a three and a half game advantage over the Giants for first place in the NL West.
The Dodgers are in third place sitting half a game behind the Giants for second. Los Angeles is still currently in a playoff spot as they are in the third wild card spot.
The Phillies are the only non-playoff team to be ranked higher than the Dodgers in the power rankings this week.
The Dodgers have five interleague games this week against the red-hot Angels and the Astros. If the team can turn it around, they will probably from themselves back towards the top of the power rankings.
