Dodgers Notes: Team Dress Up Day, Franchise History Made, Shohei Sweepstakes Continue
The last time the Dodgers had three players with at least 100 RBI, they hailed from Brooklyn and the year was 1955. Mookie Betts, Max Muncy and Freddie Freeman's strong seasons have led to the Dodgers accomplishing the feat for the first time in Los Angeles. Freeman helped them tie that record on Wednesday night until J.D. Martinez broke it on Thursday.
Despite the record night, the Dodgers lost in a blowout to the Rockies. But that didn't stop the guys from gearing up for the annual team dress up day that saw the entire traveling staff don costumes for their trip to San Francisco.
Manager Dave Roberts kept it topical with the Coach Prime ensemble.
And Freddie was joined by some arm-waving teammates.
In other news, an MLB insider believes that Shohei Ohtani has cut his list down to two teams — including the Dodgers — and pitcher Ryan Pepiot is still unsure as to how he will contribute to the Dodgers come October.
