Philadelphia Phillies vs. Cincinnati Reds How To Watch, Pitching Probables
The Philadelphia Phillies begin their second series of the 2024 season when they host the Cincinnati Reds at Citizens Bank Park.
The Philadelphia Phillies needed a rally to win their first game of the 2024 season and they hope to carry that momentum into a three-game series with the Cincinnati Reds starting on Monday.
The series concludes on Wednesday before they hit the road for their first trip of the regular season.
The Phillies (1-2) lost their first two games of the season to their NL East rival, the Atlanta Braves, and they had to rally to beat the Braves on Sunday, 5-4.
At one point on Sunday the Phillies were down 3-1 in the fourth inning. Philadelphia’s Kyle Schwarber drove in a run as he grounded into a double play in the fifth inning. Trea Turner tied the game with an RBI single in the seventh and Alec Bohm later that inning singled home two runs to give Philadelphia a 5-3 lead it would keep.
Schwarber and Bohm each had two hits as Phillies reliever Matt Strahm ended up claiming the win in relief of starter Ranger Suarez, who went five innings and gave up three runs.
Here is the preview for the game, with probable pitchers, starting lineups, how to watch and listen, injury updates and more.
