Twins have 3 prospects in ESPN's top 30; comps to Bryce Harper, Juan Soto

Walker Jenkins compared to Kyle Tucker, J.D. Drew and Bryce Harper.

No matter how you slice it, the Twins' prospect pool is headlined by three players who are consensus high-end players: Walker Jenkins, Brooks Lee and Emmanuel Rodriguez.

All three are ranked inside the top 30 of ESPN MLB insider Kiley McDaniel's top-100 prospects of 2024, making the Twins just one of two teams with three players in the top 30.

Jenkins checks as the highest-ranked Twins prospect at No. 14, with ESPN's Kiley McDaniel saying Jenkins reminds him of current Astros star Kyle Tucker and former MLB star J.D. Drew. It's worth noting that he also mentioned the "hushed" comparisons to Bryce Harper.

Right behind Jenkins is a bit of a surprise as it's not Lee. Instead, it's Rodriguez, who drew a comp to superstar Juan Soto.

"The sales pitch is that he is a lefty with plus raw power and perhaps the best eye in the minor leagues, drawing 172 walks in 183 career pro games," McDaniels wrote. "For context, Juan Soto led the majors in walks last season with 132 in 162 games."

At No. 29 is Lee.

"Polished, near-sure-thing solid everyday infielder with medium upside," McDaniel wrote about Lee, who he projects as a future third baseman.

The Twins and Orioles are the only teams with three prospects in McDaniels' top 30.

Over at MLB Pipeline, the Twins have four players in the top 100: Jenkins (10th), Lee (18th), Rodriguez (42nd) and Gabriel Gonzalez (79th).
