Twins, most MLB teams snubbed as ESPN unveils 'Sunday Night Baseball' games
There are two Sunday games on Minnesota's schedule that have "TBD" listed for the start time.
The Major League Baseball season is fast approaching and on Wednesday ESPN unveiled the first round of games that it has confirmed for Sunday Night Baseball.
Nine matchups for the Sunday night marquees that are known so far include just 10 teams. The Yankees and Dodgers will be featured three times while the Cubs, Cardinals, Rangers and Red Sox will each make two appearances.
The Astros, Padres, Braves and Tigers each have one appearance scheduled.
- March 31: Cardinals vs. Dodgers
- April 7: Astros vs. Rangers
- April 14: Padres vs. Dodgers
- April 21: Rangers vs. Braves
- April 28: Cubs vs. Red Sox
- May 26: Cubs vs. Cardinals
- June 9: Dodgers vs. Yankees
- June 16: Yankees vs. Red Sox
- Aug. 18: Yankees vs. Tigers
Will the Twins be featured on Sunday Night Baseball? There are only two Sunday games on the Twins' schedule that have yet to be given a start time, so theoretically they could be slotted in on Sunday night.
- May 19: Twins vs. Guardians
- June 2: Twins at Astros
"Remaining selections will be announced at a later date," ESPN said.
