Justin Verlander Out for Next Few Weeks with Forearm Strain
Astros ace and reigning American League Cy Young winner Justin Verlander is out for the next few weeks with a forearm strain. Manager Dusty Baker says Verlander will be reevaluated in the next few weeks. The 37-year-old Verlander pitched the season opener for Houston on Friday against the Mariners. He completed six innings, striking out seven, and holding Seattle to just three hits and two runs.
