. Olin Hacker

Madison, Wis. > Cross-country

Olin, a senior at Madison West High, defended his Division 1 title with 14:59.10 at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids. He is only the second runner to break 15 minutes at the state meet and join his father, Tim, and uncle, Jeff, as a two-time champion. Olin, who led the Regents to the team title, has verbally committed to Wisconsin.

. Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani

Redondo Beach, Calif. > Volleyball

Yaasmeen, a 6-foot-4 senior outside hitter ar Redondo Union High, had 16 kills to help the Sea Hawks come back from two sets down against Mira Costa High and win the Bay League championship for the third straight year. Three days earlier she was named MVP of the Redondo Power Classic, leading her squad past Marymount High 2-1 for the title.

. Jordan Barth

Cold Spring, Minn. > Racquetball

Jordan, a sophomore at Rocori High, beat Costa Rica's Andres Montero 15-10, 15-11 to win the 14-and-under title at the International Racquetball Federation's junior and world championships in Cali, Colombia. He also teamed with Justus Benson of Sun Prairie, Wis. to take the 16-and-under doubles silver, leading the U.S. to the team bronze.

. Kelly Kosmo

Goleta, Calif. > Triathlon

Kosmo, a senior at UCLA, won the first women's national collegiate championship by 58 seconds, finishing in 1:05:03 on a draft-legal sprint-distance course in Clermont, Fla. Voted an NCAA emerging sport for women last January, triathlon has 10 years to demonstrate viability before becoming an official NCAA sport.

Edgewater, Md. > Soccer

James, a senior midfielder at DeMatha Catholic High, scored on a header to force overtime, and his brother, Justin, a freshman striker, headed in the golden goal for a 2-1 victory over Bishop O'Connell High and a second straight Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title.

Justin, a freshman striker at DeMatha Catholic High, headed in the golden goal after his brother, James, a senior midfielder, tied the game in DeMatha's 2-1 victory over Bishop O'Connell High and a second straight Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title.
