76ers' KJ Martin Downgraded vs. Bucks

KJ Martin will miss out on Sunday's game against the Bucks.

On Sunday, the Philadelphia 76ers are set to welcome the Milwaukee Bucks into town as they look to build off of their win on Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Despite being without their leading scorer and reigning NBA MVP Joel Embiid, the Sixers kept in pace with the Eastern Conference contenders, with Tyrese Maxey leading by example, scoring 35 points on 40 percent shooting from the field.

Elsewhere on the court for the Sixers, Cameron Payne proved to be quite the contributor despite coming off the bench, as he put up 16 points along, including four makes from beyond the arch.

Another source of energy for Nick Nurse's side was in KJ Martin, who came off the bench to help his team secure six rebounds as well as scoring six points.

While the 23-year-old was a part of Friday night's match, there's a possibility that he'll be out of Sunday's affair, as he's been downgraded to 'probable' due to an impingement in his right ankle.

Martin has had quite the streaky season with injuries, having missed 13 games since making the move from the Los Angeles Clippers earlier on in the season.

Since joining the Sixers, the 23-year-old has proven to be a vital part of Nurse's plans off the bench, especially as of late with the injury problem plaguing the team, averaging three points across 11 minutes of game time.

With him not able to play, Nurse still has Nicolas Batum, Kelly Oubre Jr, Darius Bazley, and Paul Reed to shift over to that spot.

One player who is set to be out against the Bucks is Robert Covington, who continues to be sidelined with a bruised bone in his left knee.

The Sixers are set to take on the Bucks on Sunday afternoon, with tip-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EST.
