Multiple Knicks on Injury Report vs. 76ers Thursday
On Thursday night, the Philadelphia 76ers will begin the final stretch of their regular season schedule. Their first game out of the break will be against Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks.
This is a big game for both teams, as they are neck-and-neck in the standings. The Knicks are currently in fourth place at 33-22, with the Sixers on their heels at 32-22. When these teams squared off last in January, New York walked away with a 128-92 victory.
The Sixers entered the All-Star break dealing with an array of injuries, but so did the Knicks. They too will be without a handful of key players heading into this matchup Thursday.
Based on the latest injury report, OG Anunoby (elbow), Julius Randle (shoulder), and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) all remain out. Bojan Bogdanovic (calf) and Isaiah Hartenstein (achilles) are both probable.
Since coming over from the Detroit Pistons at the trade deadline, Bogdanovic has played in two games for the Knicks. He notched 11 points in his debut, and followed that with 15 in his second game. The veteran forward sat out New York's final game before the break.
While both these teams are without a handful of key players, this matchup will still feature a pair of All-Stars. Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Maxey will battle it out in hopes of leading their respective team to victory.
On Sunday, Maxey and Brunson both partook in the first All-Star Game of their careers. The Sixers star finished with 10 points, three rebounds, and three assists. As for Brunson, he notched 12 points, four rebounds, and five assists in the Eastern Conference's win.
