Bulls’ fiery three-point shooting
Any team that dares to engage the Warriors in a three-point shootout is taking a huge risk, but the Bulls proved they were up for the challenge. They shot an impressive 44 percent from beyond the arc, going 16-of-36. Surprisingly, Nikola Vucevic and DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls with three triples apiece.
On the other hand, the Warriors misfired on their three-pointers, going 11-of-42. Curry’s shooting was sour as he made only three of his 12 attempts from long distance before limping out of the game due to a sprained ankle.
No repercussions from the Utah scuffle
Before the game against the Warriors, Bulls coach Billy Donovan spoke about the brief scuffle that marred their win against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night in Salt Lake City. He reported that no further disciplinary actions would be taken against Bulls assistant coach Chris Fleming, who exchanged shoves with Jazz forward Jason Collins.
“I think it’s a lesson for us from the perspective that we just have to worry about controlling our bench and our guys. I think that was a good learning experience. I don’t think Chris’ intentions were ever to be physical. They were more to keep everybody separated. It’s unfortunate that what he was trying to do turned into something that he was trying to prevent from happening,” Donovan shared.
