Jayson Tatum on 41-Point Performance in Celtics Win vs. Nets: 'Approach Each Game the Same Way'

On Tuesday, the Boston Celtics picked up a 118-110 victory against the Brooklyn Nets. Jayson Tatum registered 41 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists.
Tatum scored 31 of his points in the first half. As captured by NBC Sports Boston, when asked about his opening half performance, Tatum stated “I was just in a good rhythm.”
Regarding the second half, the St. Louis native identified other ways he helped the Celtics.
“Kinda being a decoy sometimes. I had 31 (points). I knew they were going to guard me differently. Try to get assists, move the ball, (and) manipulate the defense.”
Though the Celtics are on a five-game winning streak, Tatum approaches each match with a growth mentality.
“We take it one game at a time. We approach every day as we’re trying to get better. Regardless of who’s out, who we’re playing… we try to approach each game the same way.”
Boston's next game is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 14, against the Nets at TD Garden; tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. EST.
