Boston Celtics president of basketball operations, Brad Stevens, provided status updates on point guard Malcolm Brogdon and big man Kristaps Porzingis ahead of the start of training camp next week.

"Everybody's in Boston, everybody's healthy, knock on wood," Stevens told Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe. "If everybody gets through the rest of the week, we should be full next Tuesday when we start practice. We're excited about that."

Porzingis was dealing with a case of plantar fasciitis in his right foot and decided not to play for Latvia in this summer's FIBA World Cup because of the injury.

Meanwhile, Brogdon partially tore a tendon in his elbow back in Game 1 of the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat. He finished Game 1 with 19 points and converted seven of his 14 shots from the field, but the injury clearly impacted Brogdon as the series drew on, as he went scoreless in three of the last four games of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Celtics fans are surely hoping that Porzingis and Brogdon — two historically injury-prone players — will be able to avoid the injury bug during the 2023-24 regular season and beyond.
