Former NBA Star Shares Unexpected Draymond Green Take

This wasn't the typical Draymond Green take.

No player in the NBA gets ejected more than Draymond Green. So much so, that Green has developed a very harsh reputation as an instigator worthy ejection. Despite that, Gilbert Arenas surprisingly disagreed with Green's most recent ejection.

Last week, Draymond Green was ejected in a crucial game against the Orlando Magic. It was a moment that was very clearly his fault, but the former Grizzlies guard believes that it actually wasn't Green's fault this time.

On an episode of Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe, Gilbert Arenas explained why Green's most recent ejection was the fault of the referee.

"This one I don't put on him, I put it on the ref. Here's why - he has nothing to do with this play," Arenas said. "This is a one-on-one conversation. It is not like he is yelling at the ref loud. Whatever he is saying is him and the referee. So the referee giving him a technical, you can't use that he was upstaging me. So, no matter what he's sayin' to you, it's private. You decided to give him a tech."

There's some merit to what Gilbert Arenas is saying, but in this particular case, it's very overwhelmingly Draymond Green's fault. There's a reason why even Steve Kerr said this ejection was Green's fault, instead of typically defending him. Simply put, Green just has to do better.
