NBA Legend Makes Controversial Giannis and Damian Lillard Statement
Do Giannis and Dame work together?
The Milwaukee Bucks have been a very good basketball team this season. However, they haven't been the dominant team that people were expecting. Gilbert Arenas believes it's because Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard don't quite work together.
During an episode of Gil's Arena Show, the former Grizzlies guard explained why he believes the Milwaukee Bucks have underachieved.
"The way Dame has played, he plays well with Middleton and Lopez," Arenas said. "Those three play well because they're just pick-and-pop guys. Giannis plays well with Portis and Beasley. Depending on who's playing well, who has the bell, depending on who you shutting out, I don't think all six know how to play well together."
In Arena's eyes, both superstars operate entirely different playing styles on the Bucks.
"So, if Giannis is playing well and he has the ball, those passes that he's looking for is going to Beasley and Portis," Arenas said. "Dame's passes are going to Lopez...It's two different teams. It's Dame's team when he has the ball. It's Giannis' team when he has the ball."
For as critical as people are on the Milwaukee Bucks, it's important to remember that they're still the second seed. They're still a team with a 47-27 record. They may have had some bad losses, but they're still the second-best team in the Eastern Conference. However, the NBA Playoffs is where everything will be decided.
