Injury Report: Memphis Grizzlies vs New Orleans Pelicans

Both teams might be missing their best player.

Typically, when the Memphis Grizzlies face off against the New Orleans Pelicans, it's an exciting matchup between Ja Morant and Zion Williamson. Unfortunately, it's looking like there's a chance neither player will be available for the game.

The Memphis Grizzlies have seven players listed on their injury report: Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Brandon Clarke, Jake LaRavia, Derrick Rose, Marcus Smart, and Ziaire Williams.

Ja Morant is out due to a right shoulder labral repair, Desmond Bane is out due to a left ankle sprain, Brandon Clarke is out due to a left Achilles tendon repair, Jake LaRavia is out due to a left ankle sprain, Derrick Rose is doubtful with right ankle soreness, Marcus Smart is out due to a right ring finger central slip tear, and Ziaire Williams is doubtful with a left-hand bone contusion.

The New Orleans Pelicans have four players listed on their injury report: Zion Williamson, Dyson Daniels, Dereon Seabron, and Cody Zeller. Zion Williamson is questionable with a left foot bone contusion, Dyson Daniels is out with left knee soreness, Dereon Seabron is out with a G League two-way, and Cody Zeller is questionable with left knee soreness. Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum are both listed as available against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies currently have a 2-1 regular season series lead against the Pelicans, but both of their wins came with Ja Morant playing. It'll be tough for Memphis to replicate the same result without him. The two teams face off at 8:00 p.m. EST tonight.
