Summary

The Washington Wizards are eliminated from postseason contention, but that will not discourage them from spoiling the Atlanta Hawks' seeding. The two Southeast Division foes have faced off three times this season, with Atlanta taking the last two games.

However, tonight's matchup will look a lot different than usual. Both teams be without multiple key players (injury report below) and are on the second night of a back-to-back.

As of this morning, Atlanta is in a virtual tie with the Toronto Raptors for the eighth seed (but they own the tiebreaker). With three games remaining, Atlanta has painted themselves into a corner and cannot afford to lose any more games at this point.

Meanwhile, Washington is giving younger players more burn as the organization will soon enter a pivotal offseason that is sure to bring change. Atlanta just doesn't want to give the struggling team any reasons for optimism this late in the year.

Injuries

Washington has not released its official injury report yet. However, Deni Avdija, Bradley Beal, Kyle Kuzma, Monté Morris, and Kristaps Porzingis missed last night's game.

Atlanta has not released its official injury report yet. However, Trae Young and De'Andre Hunter missed last night's game.
