Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo Reportedly Addressed Issues At Miami Heat Team Meeting

Miami Heat leaders Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo spoke up at a team meeting earlier this week prior to snapping seven-game losing streak

The Miami Heat were in the middle of their worst stretch in quite some time.

They had lost seven straight games, falling to the middle of the pack of the Eastern Conference standings. With the season in danger of being lost, the Heat's two emotional leaders had no choice but to step up. According to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Heat held a team meeting Tuesday.

Butler and Adebayo addressed the woes. A day later, the Heat snapped the skid by defeating the Sacramento Kings Wednesday at Kaseya Center.

"[Miami Heat] had a team meeting on Tuesday, where I'm told Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, their two leaders, they both spoke up," Charania said on Fan Duel's "Run It Back" show.

The fact Butler was vocal should come as no surprise. He's always flourished in a leadership role. Adebayo joining in bodes well for the Heat because it shows he's moving from being a young player into a veteran. A moment as such could help the Heat turn things around with the NBA All-Star break approaching.

Perhaps it can lead to a strong finish to the second half of the season. The Heat return to action Friday against the Washington Wizards
