Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30 points, while Chet Holmgren chipped in 16 as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Utah Jazz 134-120. Keynote George led the Jazz with 30 points in a losing cause.

The Thunder scored the first eight points of the contest and never relinquished the lead once. The game wasn’t as close as the score indicated, as the Thunder had a 36-point lead heading into the fourth quarter with the help of a starting five scoring in double figures.

The road woes continued for the Jazz this season. Utah is 1-11 away from Salt Lake City, with nine of those games being double-digits.

It hasn’t been pretty as of late, but in Utah’s defense, there hasn't been a lot of help on the injury front. Leading scorer Lauri Markkanen missed his eighth straight contest, while starters John Collins (illness) and Walker Kessler (foot) were ruled out prior to the contest.

On a positive note, George had his best game as a pro. Utah’s point guard of the future knocked down five shots from long distance and was 10-for-17 on the night. Despite Utah getting blown out, George had a +5 net rating.

The Jazz may need to cash their chips in early and go full tank mode the way it's trending. If Utah doesn’t get a consistent starting five out there soon, then they may not have to try too hard to pile up some losses.

Next up are the New York Knicks at the Delta Center on Wednesday with a tip-off time of 7:00.
