Lakers News: LeBron James’ Son Bronny Exploring Draft, Will LeBron Join Him In Free Agency?

Much of the talk around the upcoming NBA Draft has been about what USC freshman guard Bronny James would do with his basketball future. The son of Lakers' LeBron James has been debating what to do for a while, given that his first season with the Trojans hasn't played out the way he would have liked.

But it has been announced that he will indeed be entering the NBA Draft, while also keeping his options open by entering the transfer portal to keep his college eligibility. James will work out for perspective teams to get a sense of where he could go in the draft, giving them more information to use.

One of the big storylines from this is what his dad will do this summer. James is eligible to opt out of his current contract with the Lakers and he has spoken at length about his desire to play alongside his son at the NBA level.

Interested teams may look at Bronny as a potential gateway to landing his dad as well in free agency. There is a chance that James could decide to leave the Lakers to go wherever his son is drafted. This could heavily impact how Bronny is seen by NBA teams, even if they aren't as high on him.

This will be something to watch as the NBA Draft gets closer since it directly involves the Lakers. Los Angeles could always try to land Bronny in the draft as well, which would be the best scenario for the elder James.
