Lakers News: LA Reportedly Prioritizing Bringing Back Veteran Guard

As we approach NBA Free Agency on Friday afternoon, the Lakers front office has been very busy trying to put the pieces to the Lakers puzzle together. 

With lots of contracts to look over, the LakeShow's first move was to waive waive and release Mo Bamba and Michael Beasley, but reports say that the Lakers are trying their best to bring them back into the squad. 

According to NBA Expert, Marc Stein, LA's next prioritization is to bring back veteran guard, Dennis Schroder. 

Schroder finished the first year of his second stint with Lakers last season, posting up 12.6 points/game, 2.5 rebounds/game and 4.5 steals/game. 

His involvement with the Lakers during their wasn't very heavy as he put up just 7.4 points/game. Although, he was a great competitor towards the rest of the team's Guards, such as D'Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves. 

The Lakers attempt to bring back Schroder is just one of many missions the Lakers are trying to accomplish. 

Free Agents like Russell, Reaves, and Rui Hachimura are also a part of the Lakers priorities. 

Bringing back the German Ballplayer will take some costs in the Lakers salary cap, and most likely a pay cut for Schroder.

And undoubtedly, LA is trying to set-up the best squad for NBA great, LeBron James, who is entering the final year before he can decide on the player-option in his Lakers contract.

All in all, Schroder's situation is just another piece that the Lakers are trying to juggle. 

Will he continue as Laker? Or have we seen his time with the Purple and Gold come to an end?
