Lakers News: LeBron James Acknowledges Unique Bond With Arch-rival Stephen Curry

LeBron James and Steph Curry put in another thriller.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors put up another thriller in one of the games of the year as the Lakers squeaked by the Warriors 145-144 in double overtime.

The Lakers-Warriors clash saw some of the stars show out like Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson and D'Angelo Russell. But none were bigger than the two biggest stars, LeBron James and Steph Curry.

James and Curry combined for a whopping 82 points, with Curry leading the game with 46 points and James leading the Lakers with 36 points.

After the game, LeBron remarked on the play between him and Curry, which lived up to the standard their great rivalry has set, even with the two getting older.

"It's something that you will truly take all in when you're done playing and be able to watch with your grandkids and say 'I played against one of the best players to ever play this game," James said after the game. "Steph, after the game came to me and said, 'how does it keep getting better.' ... I thing it's a true testament to us putting the work in."

The Lakers also took the Western Conference Semifinals showdown four games to two during the 2023 NBA playoffs.

This game may will already go down as one of the best between the two, as the first time James and Curry have played each other in overtime and double overtime. The good news for fans is Lakers and Warriors are set to face each other three more times this season, with games on February 22, March 16 and April 9.
