Lakers News: Starting Fives Revealed For What Should Be An LA Blowout Of Memphis

The 45-35 Los Angeles Lakers' penultimate contest of the 2023-24 season tips off in mere moments at the FedEx Forum, against a 27-53 Memphis Grizzlies club that's struggling to just field healthy bodies.

Memphis is missing 13 players tonight. You read that right.

Both clubs have announced their starting lineups. You'll have to do a lot of Wikipediaing to investigate the Grizzlies contingent.

Los Angeles has revealed via its official X account that the team will be starting its standard first five: point guard D'Angelo Russell, shooting guard Austin Reaves, All-Star forward LeBron James, forward Rui Hachimura and All-Star center Anthony Davis:

The Grizzlies' first five, meanwhile, will comprise point guard Scotty Pippen Jr. (son of Chicago Bulls Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, and yes they do spell their first names differently), shooting guard Jordan Goodwin, standout rookie combo forward GG Jackson, power forward Jake LaRavia, and center Trey Jamison. Among this group, only Jackson and LaRavia occupy Memphis' standard 15-man roster.

The action tips off, right now, in Memphis. Fans can tune into Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum SportsNet+ locally, while Memphis aficionados can check out the action via Bally Sports Southeast-Memphis.

LA is currently locked into anywhere between the 7-10 seeds in the Western Conference ahead of the play-in tournament next week. Every win is precious.
