The Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets are facing off in a massive Western Conference battle on Friday night. These two teams enter this game with just a half-game of separation between them in the Western Conference standings, with Denver sitting atop the conference, and both Minnesota and the Oklahoma City Thunder sitting a half-game behind them in a tie for second.
The Timberwolves have won three-straight games to pull within a half-game of Denver, and would jump them in the standings with a win in this game. Both teams have released their injury report for this game, and star guard Anthony Edwards is being listed as questionable with low back spasms.
Edwards has been on the injury report quite a bit recently, but it has primarily been due to the finger injury he suffered on his big dunk over John Collins. That said, Edwards has not been forced to miss any time with that injury, but this is a newer designation on the injury report with the back spasms.
This should be a very exciting game between two teams battling for the top spot in the Western Conference. The outcome of this game could go a long way towards determining who finishes as the first seed in the West, which adds a lot of intrigue to this already big time game.
