The Denver Nuggets officially announced the re-signing of veteran guard Reggie Jackson in a press release that read the following:

"The Denver Nuggets have re-signed guard Reggie Jackson to a multiyear contract, General Manager Calvin Booth announced today. Jackson, 33, appeared in 68 games (40 starts) for the Nuggets and Clippers last season, averaging 10.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting .330 from three-point range in 24.4 minutes per game. He was acquired by Denver at the trade deadline and played in 16 games for the Nuggets (two starts), averaging 7.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 19.9 minutes per game. The 2023 NBA champion has appeared in 771 career games (506 starts) for the Nuggets, Thunder, Pistons and Clippers, averaging 12.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in 24.4 minutes per game."

The release also included information about Jackson's background, including the part of his childhood that took place in Colorado. Jackson signed with the Nuggets last season after being traded from the LA Clippers and bought out by the Charlotte Hornets.

Jackson was initially in Denver's rotation after signing with them, but quickly fell out of the rotation when his poor play with the Clippers continued in his first several games with the Nuggets. With Denver re-signing him, it's clear they hope Jackson can regain the form he had a few seasons ago with the Clippers in a specialized role off the bench.
