Former Nuggets Coach Trolls Carmelo Anthony While Praising Jokic

Just when you thought the Carmelo Anthony and George Karl drama started simmering down, Karl made sure to throw even more fire on it.
This week, it was Nikola Jokic's birthday and Karl went on Twitter to send the 2x NBA MVP a happy birthday message. The problem is that Karl didn't just wish Jokic a happy birthday, he also called him the best player to wear the number 15 in Nuggets history - the same number that Carmelo Anthony wore.
While some could interpret Karl's happy birthday message as not taking a shot at Carmelo Anthony and just stating facts, he added a little extra flair to it. To add insult to injury, George Karl even tagged Carmelo Anthony in the post. A decision that there was no reason to do in a post dedicated to Nikola Jokic's birthday, other than to antagonize Carmelo Anthony.
Just the day prior to making this post, Karl called out Carmelo Anthony and asked to be a guest on his 7PM in Brooklyn podcast. At this point, it seems like George Karl may just be deliberately antagonizing Carmelo Anthony to get his attention and be a guest on his podcast.
In all honesty, it wouldn't be a bad thing for George Karl and Carmelo Anthony to hash it out on Carmelo's podcast. It could be the final moment that finally lets these two long-standing frenemies clear all the air.
