Miami Heat Reveal Tyler Herro's Game 3 Injury Status
There have been reports about the possibility of Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro making his return from injury in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, but the team has now officially ruled Herro out for Game 3. Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has been open about Herro's recovery process, and how the scoring guard is not yet ready to return to game action.
While a return for Herro at some point during these Finals does remain possible, it will not be coming in Game 3. The Heat did incredibly well to steal home court advantage from the Nuggets with their Game 2 victory in Denver, and will now look to protect their home court when the series shifts to Miami in Game 3.
While Miami is missing a huge piece in Herro, other players have consistently stepped up throughout this playoff run to make up for his absence. That does help ease some of the pressure Herro may be feeling to return as quick as possible, as the team wants to make sure he is fully healthy by the time he does return. While Miami certainly wants Herro back on the court, the team will not rush him.
With the series tied 1-1, the Heat will look to take a 2-1 series lead in Game 3. Herro will not play, but the Heat are confident in the group they have available.
