When the Denver Nuggets won the 2023 NBA Championship, they silenced a lot of doubters who adamantly believed their group was not good enough to win it all. While Nikola Jokic had just won consecutive MVP awards, and was very much in the running for a third-straight, many analysts ran with a narrative that his game does not translate to deep playoff success.

During the latest episode of Bring it Home, an NBA.com video series on the Nuggets, Jokic slammed some of these analysts, saying, "I don't listen to people. Especially people who never shot the ball, or averaged less than 5 points in their life. Because they never touched the floor, they never felt the crowd, they never felt the pressure."

Not listening to any of the critics, Jokic certainly does not listen to those who have never played at a high level. This narrative about Jokic and his inability to thrive in a deep playoff setting was completely dismantled this past postseason, as Jokic became the first player in NBA history to lead a playoff run in total points, rebounds, and assists. Doing so while winning a championship and Finals MVP award, Jokic silenced all of the noise.

Now making it known that he doesn't listen to these critics, Jokic had strong words for those critics who never played basketball at a high level.
