Nikola Jokic's Injury Status vs. Rockets Revealed

After missing his first game of the season on Monday vs. the LA Clippers, Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was initially listed as questionable for Wednesday night's game vs. the Houston Rockets, but has since been upgraded to available. It was low back pain that had Jokic on the injury report, which is the same injury designation that had him ruled out of Monday's game.
This did not seem to be a serious injury for Jokic, who had already played in games he had this same listing on the injury report, but it made sense for Denver to be cautious with him on the last half of a back to back in LA. Getting incredible performances from DeAndre Jordan and Reggie Jackson in that game, Denver was able to steal a win against the Clippers without Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon.
Jokic received his official upgraded status when Michael Malone addressed reporters pregame, as the Nuggets head coach revealed that the reigning Finals MVP would make his return to the court for this game after his brief absence from the lineup.
Denver is hoping their win over the Clippers can serve as somewhat of a turning point, as their struggles since Jamal Murray went down have caused them fall from their top spot in the Western Conference.
This article was edited to include Jokic's updated status from questionable to available.
