Nuggets Star Reacts to Shocking Celtics-Grizzlies Trade

In a shocking development that followed the LA Clippers backing out of the massive three-team trade with the Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards, Marcus Smart was traded from Boston to the Memphis Grizzlies.
The trade was initially set to send Kristaps Porzingis to the Boston Celtics, Malcolm Brogdon to the LA Clippers, and Marcus Morris, Amir Coffey, and LA's 30th overall pick to the Washington Wizards, but LA backed out over health concerns with Brogdon, and Memphis took their place in the deal. Seemingly no longer able to include Brogdon, Boston included Smart in the new trade.
Smart was the heart and soul of Boston's team, and Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray asked his old fanbase to continue showing him love:
While the Celtics are excited to be receiving Porzingis, losing Smart will hurt for a long time. The 2022 Defensive Player of the Year, Smart battled every single night for the Celtics, and was part of a group that came within two wins of a championship. This trade seemingly makes Boston better on paper, but it's impossible to measure the impact Smart had on that team and organization.
Trading fan favorites is an unfortunate reality of the NBA, and something Celtics fans are being reminded of. Smart will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact on the Memphis Grizzlies, where he will likely start at point guard during Ja Morant's suspension.
