Chicago, DeMar DeRozan Too Much For Detroit

The Pistons were looking for their fourth win in a row, but DeMar DeRozan and the Bulls were too good in Detroit.

After winning three games in a row and six of their last eight, the Pistons were feeling pretty good about themselves — then DeMar DeRozan went off in the fourth quarter and snapped the mini winning streak like a twig. Against the Bulls, Detroit led after three quarters, but DeRozan scored 16 in the final stanza and put Chicago up for good. The Bulls ended up winning the game 114-108.

Despite losing, the Pistons did some good things, and head coach Dwane Casey recognized that. Unfortunately, there were some not-so-good things sprinkled in — like the 16 turnovers and 23 points allowed off of those turnovers. Still, the Pistons are playing better basketball than they were earlier this year, and that's worth discussing as the 2021-22 season winds down.

The Pistons will get back after it on Friday night in Boston against the Celtics who continue to play great basketball on the shoulders of stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
